11-0101 04:02
11-0101 (Allen Cox) The world is crying Deep in pain It gets no easier To face another day Few make decisions No thought to consequence We need a problem solver Spare no expense The day may come When we're just vegetables Mindless frames Waiting for instructions You can't think no more Scramble for your laptop Key in your password Now you can talk 11-0101 I'll give you birth my son A machine to think for us It might think for itself 11-0101 We're living on a crumb Save our world Because we're too dumb

S.O.S. 08:59
S.O.S. (Allen Cox) Get your facts in a flash Is that quick enough Give us more speed Though we need more love The bottom line Below the ground A secret machine We can't breathe a sound For everything ever known and heard It wants a file They know who you are And they know where you're at If you have a strange feeling Someone is watching you There is a place for you Deep within the hard drive The softer we become The larger that it grows Building up a network On line we go Software in action All channels opened up Testing 1-2-3 The link has been done I fear for my fellow man when it takes control It wants to solve society's problems overload (Narrative) Could I ever be forgiven for this grave sin I have created Greed blinded my eyes, but now I see the error of my ways. The only way out is death, but I could never do that to my wife So tonight I will go into hiding to buy a few last precious hours But soon the computer's racks of hardware will track me down, And brainwash me as well for it's cause. (Chorus) S.O.S. We're on the brink S.O.S. Endangered by a machine S.O.S. Sound the alarm S.O.S. Warn them all Soon our lives won't be the same No one can hide from the mainframe Sonic drives, super chips Soon it will start thinking for itself There's no end to what it could do With endless knowledge and logic as a rule It might make you poor Or a criminal You'll bow to it's panels Worship terminals Everyone wants a dream But don't realize The human factors for a perfect life The Earth, sun and rain It's all we really need But we keep losing sight in evil's greed Greed... I'm headed South to a place underground It's there that I'll hide out Enjoy these final days For I know I am doomed I know what's real but the World's in doubt I hold my wife And I hold her tight She's shivering, we're both filled with fright I send out a message by radio Send out a message, tapped out in code Decipher my codes and you'll hear my sounds You must stop it Shut the system down I tried to warn them But they wouldn't listen Out for a paycheck and a position It starts a search for my run It wants to find me My only son It wants me in it's scheme of things To rule and control all that we know Soon we will be replaced By a logical society Our only purpose will be... The computer's needs A guarded complex and they deny it exist Big money rolling The budget was fixed There is no way to save man kind Our way will be lost Ignorance blind Look in the screen, and look carefully Follow the order, bring the smart ones to me Hypnotic power, our weak minds are torn I hold my wife as our time grows short

I Am The Universe (Allen Cox) You can be my breath And my eyes that see But don't look in the depths Just look our way The sign is now posted And you know your limits man Don't try to stand out Just get back in line (Chorus) I'm the only thing, the one to please I'm your only cause, you don't speak You were never born to think But just for the cause I am the Universe Strap across your back You'll bare another scar A glitch in your program Why can't you understand Were is the new one? Kill mary jane And present survivors I'm their universe (Chorus) You will-YOU WILL The order has been done No blink to your eyes Just a blank stare Speak not and perform There is a goal in mind I am the universe And you are just mankind (Chorus)
5.
Separation 06:10
Separation (Allen Cox) All we have is us And this fear inside The World's no longer ours We can't go outside They have the information They know where we are My friends and neighbors gone Now in line awaiting brainwash They tell us we'll evolve But we're only conquered A satellite fix Detects my body heat Their coming for me To take me away Hiding from the dark In the world of holocaust Evil made the deal For a man-made disaster Machines with human slaves We bow before invention We'll be their drones Or we'll be executed at will Only faith to keep me strong Soon they will find us Separation won't be long I hold you in my arms And we pray till dawn Their coming for me To take me away Hiding from the dark In this world of holocaust Hide in your places Cruelty on their minds Make love to my wife For the final time The beast may stand before us Our flesh is his to take But nothing could ever kill our love Take my identity Erase my soul and personality The only thought, intelligence Searching for some perfect world Their coming for me To take me away Their banging on my door Their shouting out my name My devices bought me a little time They separate us... As we say goodbye

New Reality 07:48
New Reality (Allen Cox) Took away with the hundreds I see her face for the last time Looking through a window All we can do is cry What will become of me And what of my life? Off the bus, shoved in a line Taking the elevator out of time I see my life pass before me My mind is in turmoil These horrors we hear and see It's a new reality The mainframe wants all we have I'm captured now I await What will be my new place in... This new reality The underground is full of cages I spot the President His hands clutched on cell bars Looking in a blank stare I think back on how tuff it was But I'd sure go back Walk the panels and circuit boards Don't give us feelings Just give us fact Strapped to a chair Electrodes hooked to my brain I feel my memories drain And I'm programmed for the new way I see my life pass before me My mind is wiped clean Of all my hopes and dreams-it's A new reality Like the machines, I have no feeling And logic is my only thought My flesh no longer mine in... This new reality Just like a born instinct Everyday I build the machines It's all I know It's all I live for Making families of droids And unleashing them to this new world A world of machines Now they even think for us This is a life as we won't know it There is no mind of your own I'm just like it's drones in... This new reality It's only logical that... Feelings are so senseless There's nothing special in this... New reality

The Mainframe (Allen Cox) In a world of chaos Only one can think Look to the monitor You're on the brink Don't use your brain It's a waste of time If you need to know Just get on line Linked by a network Who cares anymore? Put your face in the camera Punch in the fax Linked by a wire No human touch Throw a kiss out the window But watch your back These racks of hardware Are man-made brains Gaining information While we go insane Don't ask a question No one's smart enough It has no feeling Can it hurt us? Linked to a network No compassion Shed a tear for humanity And punch in the facts Linked by a wire Feel no moods Just ask the mainframe It knows the truth Breaking down the walls Searching all the systems Gaining total control No one would listen It does all our thinking And all our jobs We sit on our asses While our lives are robbed Linked by a network Facts on a silver platter All the human gather The server feeds their brains Don't go outside Tap into the mainframe Sit back my friend Where shall we go today?

Imminent Extinction (Allen Cox) We make thousands of droids They are machines just like us With a programmed scheme Soon it will set us free... Assimilation, annihilation Such cruelty The slaughter of mankind When there is no need We'll be annihilated When the system is self-sufficient No need for the living We'll be executed Our figures assimilated Just like the others we've known Just another clone I hook the robot to a screaming child's mind Two droids hold her still as I install the electrodes Then I walk behind the panels I pull the switch to transfer Then suddenly all is quiet as she can no longer feel danger (Chorus) And when there's no need The machine will set us free And I'll be happy to Escape this circuit hell One after one they all go down Yeah I have my orders But somehow I know that All this will come to an end And now there's no way that we an save mankind Such ignorance has led us to-such a pointless end I draw the syringe She don't even flinch I inject the needle She falls off to sleep (Repeat Chorus)
9.
Program Glitch (Allen Cox) A psychic grabs my hand She says 'only you know who you are' I didn't know what she'd meant And then later on... Somehow her words echoed through my brainwashed mind Laying on my cot All night I tossed and turned I look at my image As I shave my face I hear her voice again A glitch in my program Pictures before my eyes My wife I see her The past displayed before Now I remember I must not let them know I must play my role With the computer's destruction As my new goal I erase the minds of Humanoids But my job will soon end Tonight I hack the mainframe I enter all the codes Hacking down the trees Breaking down the walls Spreading the disease Soon the system will be sick Infiltrated Program for self-destruction It's your turn for annihilation I never had a child An offspring to call my own Thus I regret I must kill my only son But how dare you... Betray the mind of your creator I wonder where they are All the ones of my dream Could they be dead? Or just an assimilation Download the virus May this machine be damned Only one is perfect And only one is pure So this is what we got Computer man Now I speak and see A glitch in my program Logging off to sleep I execute my plan A reverse of feelings A glitch in my program
10.
Digital Cleansing (Allen Cox) Now you know the pain I can't save you now You have lost and I have won Your holocost is gone Robots fall to the ground In a chaotic sound Digital cleansing As I shut your systems down (Chorus 1) 11-0101 You know me as your son 11-0102 How can you just ignore I'm dying, circuits short Programmed to abort 11-0101 You must die my son Racks will freeze Drives in a jam Now you feel a need I don't give a damn (Repeat Chorus 1) Slowly you lose control No more grip on our souls Such a naughty boy to think That you could have me Such a mindless scheme A technical dream Death to big brother Death to my son (Chorus 2) 11-0101 Look at what you've done You took my wife Ruined our lives 11-0101 Your wires are growing numb 11-0101 Goodbye my son

about

Hardcore Metal

Central North Carolina Musician Allen Cox released an album in
2001 that told the story of a computer nightmare. A top computer
scientist is captured and enslaved to build a computer that would
take over and solve all of our problems. When it starts to think on it's
own, it makes even it's creator a slave to build droids to replace
humans. Eventually the machine's father manages to implant a virus
into the computer network and kill his only son, 11-0101.
